Author Resources
BIOSTEC 2027 paper templates and presentation-preparation guidance.
Table of Contents
Official paper templates
Authors are strongly encouraged to use the official templates for the review submission and must use the appropriate template for the camera-ready paper. A final manuscript that is not formatted correctly may be excluded from the proceedings.
In-person poster presentations
Posters must use portrait orientation and must not exceed A0 size (84 × 118 cm). Text should remain legible from approximately 1.5 metres, and the poster should communicate its central contribution without requiring a spoken explanation.
Authors must print and bring their poster, mount it before the scheduled session, and remain available throughout the session. Separate A4 sheets may not be mounted as a substitute for a poster. Presenters should also upload a JPG, PNG, or PDF version of no more than 10 MB to the PRIMORIS author area.
In-person oral presentations
Technical rooms are expected to provide a video projector and a Windows computer with Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Authors are encouraged to upload their presentation to PRIMORIS in advance and carry a backup on a USB drive.
Presentations should communicate the paper’s central question, method, evidence, and contribution within the assigned time. Reserve at least five minutes for questions. Authors who require audio playback should contact the conference secretariat at least three weeks in advance.
Doctoral Consortium
Doctoral researchers should prepare a focused ten-minute presentation of their project and leave sufficient time for questions from the advisory committee. The discussion is intended to provide constructive guidance that helps advance the doctoral work.
Online contingency guidance
Where the organisers explicitly authorise remote participation, presenters need a stable internet connection and a computer with working audio, microphone, and camera. Pre-recorded backups should use MP4, MKV, or MOV format, H.264 or H.265 encoding, and a maximum resolution of 720p.
Poster-session backup videos should be 3–7 minutes and no larger than 50 MB. Oral-presentation backup videos should reserve at least five minutes of the allocated slot for questions and should be no larger than 200 MB. The presenter must still attend the live session; a recording does not replace attendance.
