•The doctoral thesis “Multimodal behavioral biometrics based on HCI and electrophysiology” proposed a new behavioral biometric model and made an important contribution to the latest technology in the field. In 2008, it won the Portuguese National Award “Futuras Promessas” ISA/Millennium BCP Award, which is awarded to the best doctoral thesis in the field of physics, electronics, information or biomedical engineering.
