The 2024 Smart Medical and Health Summit Forum was successfully held in our school

From May 17th to 18th, the 2024 Smart Medical and Health Summit Forum and Medical Image Computing Youth Symposium (MICS) offline academic exchange event was held at Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology. This forum is quite influential, attracting more than 300 participants from my country’s university teachers, researchers from research institutions, hospital doctors and researchers from enterprises and institutions. Participants came from 27 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and special administrative regions, 45 large, medium and small cities, and 138 universities, hospitals, research institutions and enterprises and institutions. Participants were divided according to research fields, including university teachers, senior doctors, senior executives of well-known companies and authoritative experts from research institutions in the two major fields of medicine and engineering, including medical imaging, pathology, brain and neuroscience, pharmacy, pediatrics, ophthalmology and medical artificial intelligence. The number of online participants reached nearly 20,000, which fully demonstrated the huge development potential of the medical-engineering intersection and multi-disciplinary integration fields involved in this forum. This forum not only highlights the trend of deep integration of medicine and engineering, but will also effectively promote the close integration and mutual penetration of information engineering and medical fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, robotics, electronic information, automation, and computers, and inject strong impetus into the scientific and technological innovation and achievement transformation of medical artificial intelligence in my country.
