The institute specially invited Professor Ji Zhiwei from the School of Artificial Intelligence of Nanjing Agricultural University to give an academic report.

On the morning of September 22, Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology - Zhongda Hospital Smart Medical Research Institute invited Professor Ji Zhiwei from the School of Artificial Intelligence of Nanjing Agricultural University to give an academic report. The theme of the report was “Big data computing, modeling, and application.” Professor Xu Jun, deputy dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence (College of Future Technology) and executive director of the Smart Medical Research Institute of our school, presided over the report meeting. More than 30 people, including teachers and graduate students from the school, attended the meeting offline and online.

Ji Zhiwei mainly explored issues such as multi-omics data fusion analysis and calculation such as biological big data mining and system modeling from three aspects: system modeling methods of biomolecular networks, 3D multi-scale modeling of complex biological systems, and biological information computing optimized by artificial intelligence. During the interactive session, participating teachers and students actively asked questions and had extensive and in-depth exchanges with Professor Ji on biomolecular networks, big data computing and pattern recognition, modeling and prediction of complex biological systems, etc. The academic atmosphere at the venue was strong.

The Smart Medical Research Institute is committed to researching and developing medical big data such as medical imaging, pathology, multi-omics, and electronic medical records, as well as information technologies such as artificial intelligence to assist doctors in improving disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. The institute is making solid progress in various tasks to promote the integrated development of new engineering and new medical sciences.
