Wang Yuancheng, MD, deputy administrative director of the Department of Radiology, Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University, has been engaged in imaging diagnosis for more than 10 years. Ongoing projects: Artificial intelligence-based research on active lesions after TACE for liver cancer (2022-2026)
Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is the first-line treatment for intermediate-stage liver cancer. Accurate evaluation of active lesions after TACE is key to evaluating efficacy and formulating subsequent treatment plans. At present, there are still a series of problems in the evaluation of active lesions, such as low efficiency of manual evaluation, poor accuracy of evaluation results, and limited value in guiding treatment. In recent years, image evaluation models assisted by artificial intelligence have developed rapidly and been applied in many fields. However, its use in the evaluation of active lesions after TACE is still in its infancy and has great research and clinical translation prospects. This project will achieve sensitive detection, accurate diagnosis and outcome prediction of active lesions by optimizing deep learning algorithms and combining radiomics, manual evaluation and other information.
