Rui Yunfeng, professor, chief physician, doctoral supervisor. Assistant to the Dean of the School of Medicine of Southeast University, Deputy Director of the Department of Surgery, Deputy Director of the Department of Orthopedics, Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University, and Deputy Director of the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of Southeast University. PhD and postdoctoral fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He serves as an expert in the core library of biological materials of the Ministry of Science and Technology, an evaluation expert in the National Natural Science Foundation of China, an evaluation expert in the Degree and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education, an expert in the science and technology expert database of Shanghai, Jiangsu Province and Jiangxi Province, an evaluation expert in the centralized procurement of high-value medical consumables for medical institutions in Jiangsu Province, and an evaluation expert in key projects of the Nanjing Municipal Health Commission. Clinical expertise includes: minimally invasive internal fixation and joint replacement treatment for elderly patients with hip fractures, and perioperative multidisciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment (MDT); minimally invasive treatment of osteoporotic fractures; multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment of severe and multiple trauma; diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle diseases; acute and chronic tendon and ligament injuries.
Full member of ORS and ICMRS in the United States, Department of Joint Surgery, Endo-Klinic and Diakonie Hospital, Germany (2013), Senior Visiting Scholar at Mount Elizabeth Novena, Gleneagles Medical Center, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Singapore (2016), and Foothills Medical Center, Canada (2018). Won the Webster Jee Young Scholar Award (2012); a high-level talent selection and training target in Jiangsu Province’s “Six Talent Peaks” (2013); a leading talent in social undertakings in Wuxi City (2014); a third-level training target in Jiangsu Province’s “333 Project” (2016, 2022); a key talent in Jiangsu Province’s “13th Five-Year Plan” Science, Education, Health and Medicine (2016) Year); Jiangsu Province’s “Six One Project” top talent training target (2017) and many other honors.
He has presided over more than 10 projects at all levels and of various types, including 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects. He has published more than 120 academic papers related to this major, including more than 70 papers as the first author and corresponding author, of which more than 30 papers have been included in SCI. He is the main translator of “Geriatric Orthopedics” and serves as an editorial board member of 6 professional magazines including “Chinese Journal of Reconstructive Surgery”, “Electronic Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery”, Journal of Orthopedic Translation and World Journal of Stem Cells; and is a special reviewer of 35 professional magazines including “Chinese Journal of Traumatology and Orthopedics”, “Chinese Journal of Orthopedics”, Journal of Orthopedic Research, Biomaterials and American Journal of Sport Medicine.
