Xie Chunming, deputy director of the Department of Neurology, Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University, deputy director of the Neurology Teaching and Research Section, researcher, deputy chief physician, and doctoral supervisor. Outstanding Young Physician in the Department of Neurology in China, Top Health Talent in Jiangsu Province, Six Peak Talents in Jiangsu Province, “333 High-level Talent” in Jiangsu Province, National Fund Committee general project review expert. The main research directions include: basic and clinical research on Alzheimer’s disease, brain network mechanisms of depression and suicide, and neurocognitive and functional imaging research.
He is currently a member of the Standing Committee and Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Cognitive Disorders Branch of the China Association for the Promotion of Medical Sciences, a member of the Standing Committee of the Neurology Branch of the China Association for Medical Promotion, a member of the Standing Committee of the Cerebral Small Vessel Disease Branch of the Chinese Stroke Society, a member of the Psychological and Emotional Disorders Committee of the Neurology Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a standing member of the Neurology Branch of Jiangsu Geriatrics Society, a standing member of the Youth Committee of Jiangsu Stroke Society, and a member of the Neurology Branch of Jiangsu Medical Doctors Association.
Hosted 4 national natural science projects, 1 major research plan cultivation project, 1 national key R&D plan and Jiangsu Provincial key R&D plan, 1 Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission key project, and 9 other provincial and ministerial level projects. He has published nearly 100 articles, and is the first/corresponding author of 72 articles, including 48 SCI papers, published in top journals such as Molecular Psychiatry and NeuroImage. He won 8 provincial and ministerial awards, including the first prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education, the first prize of the Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Progress Award, and the second prize of the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award, and was selected into the Jiangsu Province Mass Entrepreneurship Team (2018).
