The IMIC mark combines the initials of Intelligent Medical Image Computing with visual references to medicine, artificial intelligence, imaging, DNA, neural networks, and computation.

- M — Medical: technological textures and neural-network elements represent AI-enabled medicine.
- I — Image: a DNA double helix reflects medical imaging and continuous discovery.
- C — Computing: gear and neuron motifs represent the integration of engineering and medicine.
The blue palette is aligned with NUIST’s institutional identity, while “2021” records the year in which the laboratory was founded.
